I left a picture comment on someone’s Facebook update a week or so back, using a funny picture. I tend to do that mostly to keep the mood even cool in Facebook threads. But the picture I used was of a guy giving a thumbs up, and for some reason, that became the inspiration for this piece. I took that picture as reference, then decided he needed to be standing next to a car to step into. Then the lady in the back seat, and the compact city structure behind them. All this stuff was just thought of randomly as I went along, which is not how I normally illustrate. Normally, I have a detailed plan, from start to finish, and I know exactly where I’m headed, from line to line. But this worked out pretty good regardless.
