Dreadlock Headshot

I did this sketch around the middle of last month (12/08/09).  I was bored, and saw a brochure laying on my mother's living room floor.  From there, I picked it up, went to the kitchen table, and ended up with this.

I finally got around to coloring it in Sketchbook Pro.  For the most part, I'm happy with it.  But there's something that stands out negatively, and I can't put my finger on it.

I did some modifications too the lips and got these two variations.

I like the colored versions as is, but, again, I enjoy the penciled version more.  So much so, I've been thinking of holding off on the digital coloring, and working solely on my illustrations.
