I’ve been trying to get these up for awhile now, but life keeps getting in the way. So, here they are.
Like the previous picture, this one is based off of a picture of Chante Moore, from a picture of her inside the “Exposed” album cover. It’s another piece that I used to fill my portfolio years ago, to advertise for illustration work.
So now, here, I started illustrating what would be the updated digital version of the picture. Obviously, the arms are more visible, as if the chest. I had planned to make this a picture of a woman in a scarf with dreadlocks, but I decided to make it an afro. I later changed it again into a head wrap with a scarf at the base. The shirt came from a typing “women‘s shirts” into Google image search, and picking the one I thought worked best.
Here’s the final version. I finished everything up and created the background separately, combining them together in the end. At first, I couldn’t get the left hand the way I wanted. I erased it and redid it over and over, until I finally got something acceptable.
