This is another one of those self portraits I do every now and then. I find that they are an easy subject to use when I need to practice, or just get a piece done relatively quickly. Getting these done in little or no time is harder now, as my new job often times requires ten to twelve hour shifts. Combine that with the fact that it’s a blue collar job, and illustrating become a bit difficult when you can’t really feel your fingers. Also, I still don’t have a camera to take an actual picture of myself, so these’ll have to do for now.
The music for this video was going to be Lil’ Wayne’s “She Will”, but I couldn’t bring myself to use it. My personal feelings about him & his music aside, I tried a few tracks from various albums by Common and was getting nowhere. I switched to Rick Ross’ “Tears of Joy”, and even went with Kid Cudi’s “Sky Might Fall”. But, ultimately, I went with Common’s “Forever Begins” off of his 2007 album “Finding Forever”.
I was planning on getting back to some fan art eventually, just for practice, so, maybe now I can do that. Unlike before though, I’ll only post the stuff I like, not like the Superman & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles picks. I hate those the more I look at them.
