Mecurial Funk

     “The Many Adventures of Miranda Mercury” is a comic book written by Brandon Thomas, and illustrated by Lee Ferguson.  This piece was in response to this thread, http://www.blacksuperhero.com/bsh/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16070, on HeroTalk.com.  It’s a thread for the August art challenge, but I wanted to try it anyways.  This took me longer to finish than the end of August because my pieces take a bit of time anyways, but also, I still had to pull 10 - 12 hour shifts at my square gig.  So, as one could imagine, I don’t have an abundance of time to work.  During the process, I started & stopped constantly.  At the beginning, I didn’t like how this was turning out, but if got better eventually.  The more I liked it, the more I started to dislike it again.  I had the whole thing finished, I thought, and really wasn’t crazy about it.  But then I decided to add more detail in the background, and added stars.  That helped, but not enough, and I had decided not to post this piece.  That was until tried one more detail; the clouds.  I finished it on the 15th of October in the afternoon.  Afterwards, I started working on the video.  When the time came for me to decide what music to put in it, I went to Brandon Thomas’ Facebook page, located here, http://www.facebook.com/people/Brandon-Thomas/1603991472.  It says he likes Kanye West, and is listening to “Watch The Throne”.  The first track I decided on, was Lift Off, on “Watch The Throne“.  I wanted something that sounded like that, but could only find a similar song on “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”, that was “See Me Now”, the first track on the video.
